Update: DIY 3D Nail Art (Design by Kyle Luu)
I’m a huge fan of Japanese 3D nail art. I admit, I spent way too much money on crazy cool nail designs and it always left me feeling guilty- even though I had killer nails.
Yet, the truth of the matter is, if you can do it yourself at the luxury of your home.. why not?
So here is what you will need.. the steps are relatively simple. I honestly let Kyle use his creative mind flow with the design on my nails. He said there wasn’t a specific theme in mind.
1) Kiss- 100 Nails Kit: Or any kit with press-ons. They stick on really quickly and lasts for about a week. File them down to the shape you like.
2) Various Nail Polishes: I grabbed colors from my nail polish collection that I thought worked well together. If you want to copy my design, just get a turquoise, midnight blue, white, and this glitter polish from Milani
3) Be unpredictable with the color placements. I kept the palette harmonious with cool shades and an unexpected gold pinky.
4) Add gems. Glue them on using the same glue that you used to apply the fake nails. Make sure the polish is dry! Seal with top coat.
And that’s really it! Have fun and keep in mind that if you mess up- it’s okay. There’s a thing called nail polish remover, and she is your best friend ;)
